【あらすじ】
海幸彦と山幸彦の伝説を脚色した能に登場する特別な替間として登場し、お馴染みです。
竜宮を舞台にした海の都の姫・豊玉姫と結婚した彦火火出見尊（ひこほほでみのみこと／山幸彦）の門出を祝う酒宴のシーンです。海の生き物たちが喜び祝う幻想的で明るい世界観を持った、狂言特有の祝祭的な演目とされています。
こうしてさまざまな貝の名前が軽快に謡われ大変楽しい曲ではありますが、嘘や本音も裏テーマになっている説もあり、深読みすることも興味深い鑑賞の仕方かもしれません。
